Glenturas was awarded the contract for the construction of a 132kV UKPN-compliant substation and grid connection to facilitate the connection of Euston Solar Farm to the local electricity network.
The grid connection included 4.5km of direct-buried 132kV cable, featuring multiple directional drills to navigate route constraints.
The substation consisted of both customer-side and DNO (Distribution Network Operator) infrastructure, with full foundation works for all on-site equipment.
